PSG, who rotated several key players following their midweek Champions League win over Liverpool, struggled to find their rhythm. Gonçalo Ramos missed a penalty, while Khvicha Kvaratskhelia managed only a late consolation goal.

The defeat marked PSG’s fifth league loss of the season, though they remain one point ahead of second-placed Lens with a game in hand. A midweek win over Nantes could extend their lead as they continue their pursuit of another domestic title.

Manager Luis Enrique acknowledged the growing competition, noting that the title race remains tight as the season enters its final stretch.

For Lyon, the victory significantly boosts their hopes of returning to the Champions League for the first time in six years. Paulo Fonseca’s side are now level on points with Lille in third place.

Elsewhere, Folarin Balogun extended his scoring streak to eight consecutive Ligue 1 matches, netting in Monaco’s 2-2 draw with Auxerre, though his side dropped valuable points in the race for European qualification.
