BREAKING: SENATE CONFIRMS MUTTAQHA DARMA AS MINISTER

The Nigerian Senate has approved the appointment of Muttaqha Rabe Darma as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The confirmation came after the nominee’s screening on Thursday.
Darma was nominated on Wednesday by President Bola Tinubu to serve in his cabinet, replacing the former Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who presented the President’s communication during plenary, referred Darma’s nomination to the Committee of the Whole for further legislative consideration, instructing it to report back as soon as possible.
Darma previously served as the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF).
