ALLEGED MARRIAGE FRAUD: ROBY EKPO SET TO PETITION U.S. AUTHORITIES AGAINST MAYOWA LAMBE

Popular media personality Roby Ekpo has disclosed plans to file a petition with the United States government against his ex-wife, Mayowa Lambe, accusing her of marriage fraud.
This comes just days after reports surfaced that Mayowa remarried in the U.S. without formally finalizing her divorce from Ekpo.
Speaking in a now-viral interview, Ekpo said he was shocked by the news of her remarriage and recounted how he had supported her relocation abroad.
Maintaining that Mayowa is still legally his wife, Ekpo alleged that he even paid for her flight ticket during her recent trip to Nigeria.
In response, Mayowa, through her lawyer, issued a cease-and-desist letter to Ekpo, giving him a 48-hour deadline to meet her demands or face legal action.
Her demands include a public retraction and apology, as well as N100 million in damages. She stated that their marriage had been “mutually terminated” in May 2025.
Disputing the defamation claims, Ekpo, through his legal counsel, Tap Legal Services, described the N100 million demand as “excessive, baseless, and premature.”
He maintained that his statements were drawn from his personal experiences and were not made with any malicious intent, as alleged. He also vowed to defend himself in court, backed by evidence.
Additionally, Ekpo indicated through his legal team that he is prepared to present all his evidence alongside his petition to U.S. authorities.
He stated that the letter included an acknowledgment of certain claims made by his client, adding that his client reserves the right to rely on it as evidence in his petition to relevant U.S. authorities, including the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.
He further noted that his client may also pursue declaratory and injunctive relief, if necessary, to safeguard his rights and interests.
