The Ooni of Ife and one of his queens, Mariam, have welcomed twin princes into the Royal House of Oduduwa.

This was contained in a statement released on Friday in Ile-Ife by the Director of Media and Public Affairs at the Ooni’s Palace, Mr. Moses Olafare.

Olafare said the traditional ruler expressed gratitude to Almighty Olodumare for the successful delivery and for the good health of both the mother and the newborns.

He added that the arrival of the twins has sparked widespread joy and celebration in Ile-Ife, with friends, associates, and well-wishers sending congratulatory messages to the royal family.

The Ooni described the birth of the twin princes as a divine blessing to both the royal household and the wider House of Oduduwa.

Oba Ogunwusi also appreciated those who have continued to support the palace with prayers, love, and goodwill, describing the occasion as one of thanksgiving and rejoicing.

He expressed gratitude for the safe delivery and reaffirmed the palace’s appreciation to Olodumare for His mercy and favour.

The monarch prayed that the newborn princes would grow in good health, wisdom, peace, and greatness, and become worthy ambassadors of the cultural heritage of Ile-Ife and the Yoruba people.
