Although there is still much that needs to be done, we must understand that progress is a slow process and to get to the desired goal of self-sustainability, we have to go through certain due processes that can be sometimes painful and hard, but the efforts we put in today would help future generations.
There are various types of farming types namely poultry farming, pig farming, fishery, animal rearing and so many other methods. We can go on and on but if the development that we aim at is to be achieved we have to source for new information, create an enabling environment that supports farmers.
Farmers should get access to loans, insurance and other forms of support that can help them grow their businesses. We need to have a farmers union, this union can help in product pricing and regulating the quality of the produce so that the farmers can enjoy the benefits of their hard work.
