Buhari Writes Senate Requesting Confirmation and Approval Of Former IGP Smith As Chairman Police Service Commission

President Muhammadu Buhari has written the Senate, requesting the screening and subsequent confirmation of former Inspector General of Police, Musiliu Smith, as Chairman of the Police Service Commission and Five others as members of the Commission.
President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, read the letter containing Buhari’s request on Thursday during plenary session.
The former Inspector-General of Police, Musiliu Smith, is however expected after the confirmation to succeed former IGP, Mike Okiro. END.
