NEW YORK FIRM PREDICTS BUHARI MAY NOT WIN THE 2019 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
By Joseph Omoniyi
A New York-based analysis firm, Teneo Intelligence has forecast that President Buhari, the automatic candidate of the ruling All Progressives, APC, in next year’s presidential election, could lose power in 2019.
Teneo Intelligence who used the governorship election in Osun state to buttress its points, said, this is possible if the opposition unites against him and APC.
The firm added that, the close governorship election in Osun bodes badly for the APC as it signals its waning popularity
“There is already a clear message sent from Osun state: provided the PDP remains united, and the vote is reasonably free and fair, Buhari and his APC are likely to lose the general elections,” said Malte Liewerscheidt, an analyst at Teneo.
Winning the south west in which Osun state is part of, was very key for Buhari and the ruling party in the 2015 presidential election.
