Paul Pogba used his Instagram account to congratulate Bryan Dodien, a young footballer he met three years ago, who beat cancer to play his first game for Juveā€™s U15s.

The Manchester United midfielder had supported Bryan during his time in Turin prior to his Ā£89m move to the Premier League in 2016.

The World Cup winner displayed a message underneath his shirt during a Juventus v  Torino in 2015 which read: ā€œBryan I am with youā€.

After the game against, Pogba revealed he had made a promise to the young boy: ā€œI told him that I would dedicate a goal (to him) I will always be close to him and I will never leave him.

Pogba invited Bryan into the dressing room in Turin after beating Sampdoria to lift the title in 2016, posting the picture on social media that eveningā€œBryan is an 11-year-old who loves Juve, he has cancer, and I told him Iā€™d score this goal for him.ā€

Whilst playing in Turin, the Frenchman continued to try and help where he could and keep Bryan in high spirits as he began treatment.

After the season concluded, in a win against Sampdoria, Pogba invited his young friend into the playerā€™s dressing room to celebrate with the rest of the squad as Juventus had won a fifth consecutive Serie A title.

Three years later, Pogba informed his 31 million followers about Bryanā€™s success in beating his condition.

Captioned at the bottom of the pictures Pogba said: ā€œWhat a blessing that Bryan beat cancer and today played his first game with Juve U15.

ā€œSo proud of you my friend, merci for being an inspiration to me and so many others. Hope to see you soon!ā€
