JUST IN: SENATE HOLDS MEETING WITH SECURITY CHIEFS

The leader of the Senate is currently in a meeting with Heads of Security Agencies.
On Wednesday, the meeting began few minutes after 2 p.m. at the Senate Wing National Assembly Complex.
Senator Aliyu Wamakko, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defence; Senator George Sekibo, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Navy; and Senator Abdullahi DanBaba, Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Police Affairs are among those present.
The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has yet to arrive at the meeting at the time of reporting this story, though it was noticed that he arrived approximately 15 minutes before 2 p.m. amid tight security.
The meeting had to be postponed until he arrived.
Remember that the opposition parliamentarians gave the President, General Muhammadu Buhari , six-weeks deadline to tackle the country’s insecurity or face impeachment.
