The Winner of The Voice Nigeria Season 2 is Idyl

#TeamTimi‘s Idyl has emerged as the winner for the second season of The Voice Nigeria following a very tense grand finale.
For the first round of performances;
#TeamYemi (Syemca and Chris Rio) performed Yemi Alade‘s “Knack Am” together with their coach,
#TeamTimi (Jahtell & Idyl) sang an unreleased song by Timi Dakolo “Find You There” for his friends Eric Arubayi & Belema.
#TeamWaje (Wow & J’Dess) performed with Waje to her latest single “In The Air”
#TeamPato (Yimika & Ebube) performed with Patoranking to his new single “Love You Die” featuring Diamond Platnumz.
There was quite a shock when fan favorite Jahtell did not make it to the top 4. Chris Rio, J’Dess & Yimika also did not make it to the next round for their respective teams.
For their next set of performances;
Syemca performed Maleek Berry‘s “The Matter” featuring Wizkid
Ebube performed Wizkid’s “Come Closer” featuring Drake
Idyl performed Bez‘ “You Suppose Know”
Wow performed Phyno‘s “Fada Fada” featuring Olamide.
After the performance, Syemca and Wow were evicted leaving Idyl & Ebube as the top two!
For the final acts, Idyl performed John Legend‘s “This Time” while Ebube performed “I Am Your Angel” by Celine Dion.
Following a performance by last year’s talents and Mavin Records twin sensation, DNA singing their latest song “Queen“, Idyl was named the winner!
