YOU ARE SERIAL LIARS — WIKE FIRES BACK AT ATIKU, PETER OBI, KWANKWASO

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has described opposition figures including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rabi’u Kwankwaso as “known liars,” accusing them of misleading Nigerians with claims of political reform.
Speaking during his monthly media briefing in Abuja on Monday, Wike criticised opposition parties over what he called inconsistencies and a lack of credibility in their internal democratic processes, particularly during recent party primaries.
He specifically referenced the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), alleging that both parties project moral superiority while being plagued by internal disputes.
According to him, political parties that portray themselves as “untainted” or “messianic” have failed to conduct credible primaries without controversy, casting doubt on their ability to offer better leadership.
Wike argued that the same issues opposition parties accuse the ruling party of also exist within their own structures, citing recent leadership crises during their conventions.
He said: “They said they are the saviours that will come. What has happened now?
“NDC said we are the new face of democracy. ADC said this is a party that has never been polluted, a party that God just brought from the womb.
“What has happened? So dirty. Look at what happened in the NDC. As small as they are, they cannot conduct a primary without protest.
“Look at ADC that said it is a coalition to take over from APC to stop the distortion of democracy. What has happened?
“During their congress, two presidential aspirants said they could not believe what was happening. They accused others of the same things they are now doing.
“So who is deceiving who? Who is coming to tell Nigerians that they are the new messiahs?
“Nigerians now know you are all liars. They cannot continue deceiving us.
“PDP is a dead party, according to them. They say APC is rotten and cannot help democracy.
“Yet during their own congress, their aspirants called the process criminal. Why then are we complaining about another party?
“My assessment is that the old parties, despite their flaws, understand the Nigerian political environment better than these new formations,” Wike said.
