Owen Gee “I almost committed suicide last year” comedian reveals

Owen Gee recently dropped the bombshell that he almost committed suicide last year.

The stand-up comedian revealed this shocking news as part of his effort to join in the campaign against Nigerians committing suicide which is been spearheaded by a new initiative “Live and Not Die.”

“I have had suicidal tendencies. Last year, I tried several things, but they did not work out. It was not because the ideas were bad, but the people I was working with just didn’t let them work out. Then anxiety and depression set in. It was then I realised that no drug could calm depression. There was hardly anyone I didn’t take.

“There was a time I was sleeping on drugs. There was a particular yellow tablet that, if I took it on Tuesday, on Wednesday I would only be prompted to barely wake up, eat and go back to sleep even before I finished eating. I would not wake up until Thursday.” he said

Owen Gee is the latest celebrity to join the list of celebrities who have come out openly to reveal that they have battled depression.

This wont be the first time Toyin Abraham would be revealing how she abused drugs in the pastas it would be recalled that during an interview with Broadway TV, the beautiful actress had also spoken about her drug abuse problem and how she didn’t expect her marriage to actor, Adeniyi Johnson to end in such a messy way.
