IBADAN-BASED BROADCASTER ORIYOMI HAMZAT ARRESTED BY POLICE

Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat, an Ibadan-based broadcaster, has been arrested.
The Federal Intelligence Bureau of the Nigeria Police Force detained Hamzat, the owner of Agidigbo FM, on Thursday morning in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, according to a source
According to sources, Hamzat has been transported to Abuja for questioning, The reason for his detention has yet to be revealed.
However, sources claim that his detention is linked to his role in the ongoing investigation into the death of late Timothy Adegoke.
Hamzat had been campaigning for justice in the killing of Adegoke, a Master’s student at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife at the time of his death, Adegoke is said to have been murdered in a hotel in Ile-Ife, Osun state.
Mr. Rahmon Adedoyin, the hotel’s owner, and his workers have been arrested in connection with Adegoke’s death in Eruwa, Oyo state, the suspects are still being tried for the deceased’s death.
