At around 1:30am on Sunday, July 24, 2022, officers of the Lagos State Police Command detained two suspected auto thieves along Egbeda Road after they had just taken a Toyota Corolla 2000 model with the license plate LND-664-GF.
The suspects, Abiodun Nurudeen (m), 36, and Anthony Richard (m), 45, who were both recently released from the Ikoyi Correctional facility on May 5 and June 4 of 2022, respectively, were apprehended as a result of a tip from the public.
A preliminary inquiry suggests that the car was stolen near Lekki in the state of Lagos. The owner of the vehicle is now urged to come forward and claim the vehicle while the investigation is ongoing. At the end of the investigation, suspects would be arraigned.
Once more assuring Lagosians that the command will keep doing everything operationally possible to ensure the safety and security of all residents of Lagos State, Lagos State Commissioner of Police CP Abiodun Alabi.
