Some members of the senate were reported to have walked out on Senate President Ahmad Lawan on Wednesday after he allegedly refused to allow the Minority Leader, Senator Philip Aduda, to lead the impeachment motion against the President General Muhammadu Buhari.
Aduda and other Peoples Democratic Party senators then stormed out of the chamber.
It was learned that some parliamentarians who were dissatisfied with the country’s deteriorating security situation had threatened to impeach the President.
It was learned that members questioned Senate President Ahmad Lawan at the start of the plenary on Tuesday about why the issue of insecurity was not on the Order Paper.
