WOMAN SLUMPS, DIES DURING CHURCH PRAYER SESSION IN OGUN
At the church auditorium in the Ibafo area of Ogun State, a female worshipper named Bisi Adewumi of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries reportedly slumped during a prayer session.
According to the Ogun State Police Command, the worshipper was a 75-year-old woman who eventually passed away while undergoing care at a government hospital in Sagamu.
The police said that on Friday, Pastor Ekikere Esiere, the Head of Security at the prayer city situated along the Lagos-Ibadan Motorway, reported the incident to their Ibafo division.
According to the command, Esiere reported that the dead were taken straight to the church clinic for medical assistance after she fell at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The deceased was then reportedly sent to Sagamu General Hospital, where on Friday, it was reported that she was declared dead while undergoing treatment.
The corpse has been placed at the hospital mortuary, according to State Police Public Relations Officer Omolola Odutola, who made this announcement in a chat with a journalist on Saturday.
“No relatives of the deceased had come to claim the body yet. She’s suspected to be a 75-year-old woman. In the meantime, the investigation is still ongoing,” she stated in a WhatsApp message on Saturday.
