On Tuesday, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu took aim at commercial motorbike riders, also referred to as Okadas, who were obstructing traffic on the Lagos-Badagry Motorway.

The governor halted his motorcade and pursued the riders, as seen in a viral social media video.

The Okada riders fled, some abandoning their motorcycles and passengers, as soon as they spotted him. But Sanwo-Olu’s team managed to apprehend five of them.

This morning, when lawless Okada riders spotted Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s convoy travelling in one direction on the Lagos-Badagry Motorway, they abandoned their motorcycles and the people within them. “Hey madam, you are a graduate and you allowed them to take you on a one-way… if you fall and you die, they will say the government killed you. What a shame,” Sanwo-Olu said in another video shared by his media aide Wale Ajetunmobi.
