The Fight Against Corruption Organization (FACO) has honored Esv. Adekunle Awolaja, Director, Lagos State Valuation Office (LASVO), with a prestigious Leadership Award in recognition of his exemplary dedication to upholding transparency, integrity, and accountability in governance.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony held recently in the Conference Room of the Office, Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja, Esv. Awolaja expressed his gratitude to FACO, emphasizing the importance of collective action in combating corruption and fostering sustainable development in Lagos State and Nigeria as well.

He reiterated his commitment to continually championing initiatives aimed at promoting valuation offices in tandem with International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS), ensuring that the State Valuation Office replicates that of valuation offices in England by giving a template on land use charges.

He added that the recognition serves as a source of inspiration and motivation to redouble efforts to see the valuation office succeed.

In his remark, the Chairman, Fight Against Corruption Organization (FACO), Dr. Francis Shopekan, opined that the award is based on the recognition of Esv. Awolaja’s integrity, hard work, and undeniable impact in various offices and capacities he had served.

He added that Esv. Awolaja’s immense contribution to the development of Lagos State and track record of success over the years cannot be overemphasized, hence the need for his recognition with the prestigious leadership award.

While presenting the award to him, Dr. Shopekan averred that the transformation of Esv. Awolaja since his assumption of office as the director has proven that he is an efficient leader with an unwavering commitment to ethical leadership and unrelenting effort to the development of the state.

In attendance at the event were the management staff of the office as well as top officials of the Fight Against Corruption Organization.
