ATIKU BACKS ARSENAL TO BOUNCE BACK FROM ASTON VILLA DEFEAT
Former vice-president, Atiku Abubakar has backed Arsenal to bounce back from their defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday.
The Gunners were stunned by the visitors who handed them a 2-0 defeat at the Emirates Stadium.
Substitute Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins got the goals for Unai Emery’s side.
The result put a dent on Arsenal’s title hopes.
Atiku, who was the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 general elections, however insisted that Mikel Arteta’s men still have a chance of winning the title.
“Not the result we expected from Arsenal. But we move; it’s not over until it is over,” Atiku, who is a staunch Arsenal supporter, wrote on X.
The North London club will be in action against Bayer Munich on Wednesday.
