
JUST IN: ARSENAL SECURE LOAN MOVE FOR RAHEEM STERLING ON DEADLINE DAY
Arsenal have secured a loan move for Chelsea forward, Raheem Sterling, on the night of transfer window deadline.
Sterling will join Arsenal Mikel Arteta’s men for the rest of the season.
The England international has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge for much of the summer after Enzo Maresca made it clear that he will not play a part under the new Blues manager in the 2024-25 campaign.
Confirming the agreement of the loan between the two clubs, Fabrizio Romano wrote, “Raheem Sterling to Arsenal, here we go! Agreement done on loan move from Chelsea.
“Chelsea accept final conditions and the player wanted the move, also spoke to Mikel Arteta.
“Agreement done, documents expected to be ok soon.
Sterling, 29, joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2022 and went on to make 81 appearances for the Stamford Bridge team, scoring 19 goals along the way.
Despite not being wanted in west London, Arsenal are eager to sign him as they look to strengthen in attack to boost their hopes of challenging City to the Premier League title.
