OSUN LG POLL: PDP WINS ALL SEATS
The Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured victory in all local government chairmanship and councillorship positions in the recently concluded elections.
The Commission’s Chairman, Hashim Abioye, made this announcement during a Facebook Live broadcast on Saturday evening.
According to Abioye, PDP candidates won all 332 councillorship seats across the state, along with the chairmanship positions in all 30 local government councils.
The election commenced as scheduled on Saturday morning. However, Abioye raised concerns that security personnel had sealed off the Commission’s headquarters, obstructing the distribution of most electoral materials to polling units.
