RAMADAN: KEBBI SHORTENS WORKING HOURS FOR CIVIL SERVANTS

Nasir Idris, the governor of Kebbi State, has given his approval for state government personnel to work less hours during the month of Ramadan.
Awwal Dogondaji, the state commissioner for establishment, pension, and training, signed the statement, which was given to reporters in the state capital of Birnin Kebbi on Monday.
In order to allow the Muslim faithful to observe the fast, the state administration, in anticipation of the fasting time, issued a circular last week instructing both public and private schools to conclude the second term on Friday.
The commissioner said, “The newly approved hours for the state civil servants from Monday to Thursday is now from 8am to 1pm, while Friday is from 8am to 12pm.”
At the conclusion of Ramadan, he stressed, regular business hours would return.
Additionally, he exhorted people to continue praying fervently for the state’s and Nigeria’s overall peace and stability.
