JUST IN: JANDOR ANNOUNCES RETURN TO APC AFTER MEETING WITH PRESIDENT TINUBU
Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, the 2023 Lagos State governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has made a major political shift by announcing his return to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The announcement came on Monday during a media briefing at Liberty Place, Adeniyi Jones Street, Ikeja, Lagos.
This development follows a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu in Aso Rock, Abuja, last week, where confidential matters were discussed. Prior to meeting the president, Jandor had also engaged in talks with several key political figures, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former military President Ibrahim Babangida, former Head of State Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, and 2023 SDP Presidential Candidate Adewole Adebayo.
Jandor had previously resigned from the PDP, citing indiscipline, anti-party activities, and what he described as betrayal by the party leadership ahead of the Lagos governorship election. He also pointed to false claims of an alliance that misled PDP supporters into voting for another candidate.
Further details will be provided later.
