Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been re-elected as Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) following Saturday’s local government elections in Lagos State.

The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) declared her winner after she secured a landslide victory with 64,363 votes, according to the Returning Officer, Prince Hakeem Adetona.

The result affirms Bada’s return for a second term in office and reflects overwhelming grassroots support for the APC in the area.

In her first term, Bada earned praise for her leadership and development initiatives across the LCDA.

Her re-election comes on the back of a strong showing at the polls, where she also delivered her polling unit with near-total votes for the APC.

“The people have spoken. The mandate is renewed,” said a statement from her campaign team shortly after the announcement.

The announcement was met with celebration across the LCDA, as supporters and residents applauded the outcome, which they described as a reaffirmation of confidence in her leadership.

Princess Bada expressed gratitude to the electorate for the renewed mandate, promising to consolidate on her first-term achievements and continue delivering on the party’s development agenda.

“The people have spoken, and I am humbled by their trust. I remain committed to serving every resident of Ikosi-Isheri with integrity, inclusiveness, and progress,” she said.

The re-election marks a significant win for the APC at the grassroots level and strengthens the party’s hold in the Kosofe axis of Lagos.
