Leeds has acquired former Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer as the newly-promoted club prepares for their Premier League season.
Calvert-Lewin departed Everton at the conclusion of the previous season and has confirmed a transition to Elland Road just days prior to Leeds commencing their top-tier campaign against his former club.
The 28-year-old netted 71 goals in 273 matches during his nine-year tenure at Everton, although his progression was hindered by injuries in recent seasons.

Calvert-Lewin will not be available for Monday’s fixture against Everton, but Leeds manager Daniel Farke anticipates the striker will make a substantial impact in their quest for survival.
“Dominic is a proven Premier League performer. It’s crucial for all new acquisitions; we aim to secure players who have excelled at a top level, and who are also at an advantageous age, ascending rather than descending in their careers,” he remarked.
“All these criteria are fulfilled by Dominic. ”
“He possesses all the attributes one would desire in a striker.
“His recent seasons have been somewhat interrupted by injury, yet he still managed to feature in 26 matches last season.
“This presents an opportunity for him to rejuvenate his career and attain past heights when he was exceptional at the Premier League level. ”
Calvert-Lewin last represented England in 2021 against Ukraine during the European Championship quarter-finals and has registered four goals for his national team.
“It feels akin to stepping into the first day of school today,” Calvert-Lewin expressed regarding his move to Leeds.
“I feel youthful again, embarking on a new journey, and I am eager to play. ”
