The Ghanaian police have arrested Victor Benjamin Fajemirokun, a 36-year-old Nigerian wanted for the murder of Lasisi Funmilayo, a Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) official, and her daughter, Sewa, in Ogun state, Nigeria. Fajemirokun fled to Ghana after the crime, but was tracked down by authorities.

According to George Ohene-Boadi, Regional Commander for the Eastern South Regional Police Command, the police received a video alleging Fajemirokun’s involvement in the abduction and murder, prompting them to launch an investigation. “The suspect was hiding with friends in Ghana, but we’ve arrested him at a hideout in Akutia, Eastern region,” Ohene-Boadi said.

The Nigerian police had been searching for Fajemirokun, who is now in Ghanaian custody.

Victor Benjamin Fajemirokun, the suspect in the murder of FRSC officer Lasisi Funmilayo and her daughter Sewa, is currently in Ghanaian police custody, awaiting extradition to Nigeria. The victims were reportedly taken to Osun state on November 2, and their remains were found in a bushy area, allegedly linked to a self-acclaimed herbalist.

Nigerian authorities are investigating the case, and two suspects have been arrested in Osun and Ekiti states, providing valuable information leading to the recovery of the victims’ remains. The Ghanaian police are cooperating fully with their Nigerian counterparts to ensure justice is served.
