Famous Nigerian Afrobeats star, Davido, has reacted angrily to reports alleging that he owes a wedding planner $50,000, describing the claim as “crazy.”
The singer made the remark on Sunday evening while responding to the allegation circulating on social media.
Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, Chief Executive Officer of the company said to have handled Davido and Chioma’s wedding, allegedly accused the artiste of failing to settle an outstanding bill.
The viral report was accompanied by a purported chat in which the event planner was said to be threatening legal action over the alleged debt.
Reacting to the development via his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Davido dismissed the claim, describing it as an insult.
“This is just crazy at this point,” the singer wrote.
