ABORU INCIDENT: FIRE SERVICE SAVES 84-YEAR-OLD FROM DEEP WELL

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed the successful rescue of an elderly man following an emergency call received at 10:09 a.m. on Tuesday at No. 35A, Fadeyemi Street, in the Pipeline area of Aboru, within the Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area.
The agency said rescue operatives, with support from personnel of the Abesan Fire Station, were immediately deployed and arrived at the scene around 10:20 a.m.
The incident involved an 84-year-old man who had fallen into a well estimated to be about 140 feet deep.
Preliminary assessments by emergency responders indicated that the well was properly secured, prompting suspicions that the incident may not have been accidental.
Firefighters successfully rescued the elderly man and handed him over to his family for immediate care and further medical attention.
The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service said investigations are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
The agency reaffirmed its commitment to rapid emergency response and urged residents to promptly notify relevant authorities in the event of emergencies.
