ASAKE SETS RECORD FOR MOST ENTRIES ON BILLBOARD AFROBEATS SONGS CHART

Nigerian singer Asake has further extended his record as the artist with the highest number of entries in the history of the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.
The Mr Money crooner reached a new milestone of 60 chart entries as his collaboration with Wizkid, Jogodo, climbed to a peak position of number four this week.
Meanwhile, South African singer Tyla maintained her dominance on the chart, with her song Channel holding steady at number one. The singer was recently named Top Afrobeats Artist of 2025, while her global hit Water previously set the record for the longest-running chart-topper, spending 55 weeks at number one.
In related chart news, Nigerian star Burna Boy earned his first top 20 entry on the Billboard Hot 100 this week through his feature on Gunna’s track WGFT. The song rose to a new peak of number 16 following the release of a remix featuring Chris Brown.
With the achievement, Burna Boy became the first African artist to debut a song on the Billboard Hot 100 in five consecutive years, from 2021 to 2025.
