In a viral video circulating online, houses were seen burning as residents of the community called on the state government and security agencies for intervention.

According to sources, the violence is linked to a decades-old dispute over a specific tract of land at the boundary between Oso Edda in Edda Local Government Area and Amasiri in Afikpo Local Government Area, with both communities laying claim to ancestral ownership.

Meanwhile, as of the time of filing this report, the Ebonyi State Police Command and the Ebonyi State Government are yet to issue any statement on the incident.
