GOV NAMADI APPOINTS EMIR OF DUTSE AS JIGAWA STATE’S 2026 AMIRUL HAJJ

Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has approved the appointment of the Emir of Dutse, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr) Hamim Muhammad Nuhu Sanusi, as the Amirul Hajj for the 2026 pilgrimage and leader of the state’s official delegation.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Bala Ibrahim.
Governor Namadi also named other members of the Amirul Hajj committee, including Malam Umaru Nasarawa, Alhaji Kabiru Ali (Kachallan Dutse), a representative of the Emir of Gumel, and Imam Nura Salisu Abubakar, Chief Imam of the Kazaure Central Mosque.
According to the statement, the appointments were made in recognition of the individuals’ dedication, integrity, loyalty, and religious commitment.
The governor urged the appointees to uphold these values in carrying out their duties, emphasizing that the roles entrusted to them carry significant responsibility on behalf of the state and its citizens.
The statement further noted that the Amirul Hajj team will collaborate closely with the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board and relevant state, federal, and international agencies to ensure a smooth, well-coordinated, and successful Hajj exercise.
All appointments take immediate effect.
