“STOP PRETENDING, IMPEACH AKPABIO” — AISHA YESUFU CHALLENGES SENATORS ON ELECTRONIC RESULT TRANSMISSION

Frontline activist Aisha Yesufu has urged the Senate to impeach its President, Godswill Akpabio.
Yesufu challenged senators to stop merely blaming Akpabio and to avoid playing both the “bad cop” and “good cop” roles.
She emphasized that the senators have the constitutional authority to ensure that the real-time electronic transmission of election results is enacted into law.
In a post on X, Aisha Yesufu wrote:
“Dear Senators, stop playing bad cop, good cop with us. None of you is blameless.
“You are either active or passive participants in disenfranchising the Nigerian people and undermining their right to choose their leaders.
“You are meant to be the voices of the people. Instead of holding press conferences, hosting Twitter spaces, or making media appearances, go to the red chambers and fight for the soul of Nigeria!
“You have the constitutional power and authority to ensure that real-time electronic transmission of election results is passed into law. You did it before with the state of emergency in Rivers State.
“Stop telling us Akpabio is the problem! You all have the power to impeach him—DO IT.”
