The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Olohundare Jimoh, has decorated 80 newly promoted officers serving within the command, charging them to uphold professionalism and embrace greater responsibility in the discharge of their duties.

The officers were elevated from the rank of Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP II) and formally adorned with their new ranks at a ceremony held at the Command headquarters.

In his address, CP Jimoh congratulated the officers, describing their promotion as well deserved and a recognition of their dedication, hard work, and professionalism. He emphasised that elevation in rank comes with higher expectations and accountability.

He urged the officers to maintain discipline, respect for human rights, and strengthen community-oriented policing efforts across the state. According to him, the promotion should be seen as a call to renewed commitment and service.

“The reward for hard work is more work,” the CP stated, reminding the newly promoted officers to remain steadfast in upholding the core values of the Nigeria Police Force.

CP Jimoh also expressed appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, and the Police Service Commission for their continued commitment to motivating personnel through timely promotions.

He noted that such recognition boosts morale and enhances service delivery, ultimately strengthening public confidence in the police.
