LSCPWB ATTRIBUTES 2025 PILGRIMAGE SUCCESS TO DIVINE GUIDANCE

Board Secretary Okudero, while chatting with media personnel at his GRA office, stated that the success of the 2025 pilgrimage exercise was orchestrated by God Himself. He said a little delay in embarking on the holy journey would have hindered hundreds of intending pilgrims from making the holy journey as the Middle East crisis broke out immediately after the second batch returned safely.
Okudero accorded glory to the Almighty God and appreciation to Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Commissioner of Home Affairs Mr. Ibrahim Layode, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Mr. Adewunmi Ogunsanya, and Special Adviser to the Governor on Religious Affairs, Rev. Bukola Adeleke, the Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, Bishop (Professor) Steven Adegbite, for their excellent leadership and unwavering support.
The CPWB boss highlighted the Board’s successes since he assumed office one year ago, including successfully coordinating over 400 Lagos State pilgrims to the Holy Land and expanding outreach across churches, government institutions, and media platforms.
The Board attributed the success to a strengthened preparation process that included administrative and medical screenings, orientation programmes, and spiritual activities designed to ensure readiness before departure. “This outcome reflects a deliberate commitment to proper planning, coordination, and the overall welfare of our pilgrims,” Omoniyi stated.
Highlighting the Board’s plans for the year ahead, Okudero stated that the Board is set to introduce an automated pilgrimage registration system to streamline processes and enhance accessibility for intending pilgrims.
The Board Secretary encouraged Lagos State Christians interested in participating in the 2026 pilgrimage to begin their registration process early, noting that the Board has put in place structures to guide pilgrims through every stage of the journey.
He reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to love, commitment, and excellence in service delivery.
