A lawyer, Barrister Abdulsalam Ginsau from Kano, has reportedly died after suffocating inside the lift of a hotel in Abuja.
Details surrounding the incident remain unclear, but reactions have emerged online, with some attributing the tragedy to poor power supply.
Former federal lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, confirmed the incident in a post on his X account, describing it as tragic.
He stated, “The case of Barrister Abdulsalam Ginsau from Kano is very pathetic. He was trapped in an Abuja hotel lift and suffocated to death.
“Could it be that the power supplying the lift failed midway, or that the lift developed a fault, or was it simply a tragic occurrence?
May his soul rest in peace.”
