The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of its Zamfara State Chairman, Isah Moriki, describing his passing as a significant loss to Nigeria’s political community.

Moriki, who died on Monday, also served as the Zamfara State Chairman of the National Rescue Movement.

In a condolence message issued in Abuja, IPAC’s National Publicity Secretary, Egbeola Martins, said the late chairman was a committed democrat who made notable contributions to the growth of multi-party democracy and political inclusiveness in Zamfara State.

The council noted that Moriki played a vital role in strengthening democratic ideals in the state, adding that his efforts would be greatly missed.

“His passing is a great loss not only to his immediate family and loved ones but also to the entire political community in Zamfara State and Nigeria at large,” the statement read.

Martins further described the deceased as a dedicated leader who worked tirelessly to promote inclusive politics and democratic development.

IPAC commiserated with Moriki’s family, friends, the National Rescue Movement, and its Zamfara State chapter, praying for the repose of his soul and strength for those he left behind.
