The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the results for candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Monday.
This was made known in a statement issued on Tuesday by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, who advised concerned candidates to check their results through the board’s official result-checking channels.
“The results for Monday, the 20th, have now been released, and candidates can check them through the usual process,” the statement said.
It explained that candidates can access their scores by sending “UTMERESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number they used during registration.
This update is part of JAMB’s ongoing daily release of results since the 2026 UTME began on Thursday, April 16.
According to DAILY POST, the exam—taken by over two million candidates at computer-based test centres nationwide—has seen results published in batches based on each exam day.
JAMB initially released the results for candidates who wrote on Thursday, followed by a combined batch for Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18.
However, the Friday–Saturday results were delayed beyond the expected time. Although JAMB had earlier indicated they would be released on Saturday, the delay caused frustration among candidates who waited overnight.
The board later issued an apology, explaining that the delay occurred because its chief executive was unavailable due to an official engagement.
