Arsenal F.C. and Paris Saint-Germain F.C. have booked their spots in the 2026 UEFA Champions League final after overcoming Atlético Madrid and FC Bayern Munich respectively in the semi-finals.
The final is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, with kick-off set for 17:00 BST. UEFA said the earlier start time was introduced to improve the matchday experience for supporters, teams, and host cities, replacing the traditional 20:00 kick-off used in previous finals.
For Arsenal, the occasion marks a return to Europe’s biggest club match for the first time in two decades, while PSG head into the contest as defending champions after lifting the trophy in 2025.
The final sets the stage for a blockbuster showdown between one of England’s most impressive sides and the reigning kings of European football.
Ticket sales for the final are already underway, with Arsenal supporters receiving priority access through an allocation window that opened on Thursday. However, demand has far outstripped supply, with the club receiving only 16,824 tickets. Priority has been given to fans who attended qualifying home and away fixtures, while other season-ticket holders will depend on a ballot system.
UEFA has priced tickets across multiple categories, ranging from €70 for the lowest tier to €950 for premium seats, while mid-range tickets cost €180 and €650. Some reduced-price tickets will also be available for seats with restricted views. Around 4,600 tickets have been reserved for the general public, with the remaining allocations distributed among UEFA member associations, sponsors, broadcasters, and other stakeholders.
The 67,000-capacity Puskás Aréna, home of the Hungary national football team, is named after legendary Hungarian footballer Ferenc Puskás. The stadium previously hosted the 2023 Europa League final and will now stage its first-ever Champions League final.
Arsenal’s journey to the final has been built on a strong balance between attack and defence. The Premier League club has scored 29 goals in the competition while conceding only six — the best defensive record in this season’s tournament. Their nine clean sheets are also the highest among all teams.
Interestingly, despite their reputation for efficiency from set-pieces in domestic football, Arsenal have managed only five set-piece goals in Europe this season, highlighting a more adaptable tactical approach under manager Mikel Arteta.
With Arsenal seeking a long-awaited return to European glory and PSG aiming to retain their crown, the 2026 UEFA Champions League final promises to deliver a thrilling clash between two of Europe’s elite clubs.
