Nigerian singer Chike has stirred reactions online after posting a cryptic message amid allegations linking him to a scandal involving media personality Frank Edoho’s estranged wife, Sandra Edoho.
Reports circulating on social media allege that Chike had an affair with Sandra, following claims by Frank Edoho that he caught his then-wife cheating with a musician, though he did not name anyone.
Although no direct mention was made, social media commentator VeryDarkMan released a video analyzing the situation, warning that the controversy could damage Chike’s career. He also suggested that the singer’s major income comes from wedding performances and argued that the allegations could make potential clients reconsider hiring him.
Amid the controversy, Chike took to social media on Sunday night, posting, “Pity my soul!” A statement many fans believe may be a response to the ongoing criticism, although his intention remains unclear.
Meanwhile, the singer was recently seen at a cinema in Lagos where he interacted with fans, signed autographs, and took photos. A video from the event showed supporters singing along to his song Running To You while expressing encouragement and solidarity with him.
