BREAKING: INEC DECLARES PDP’S FINTIRI, AS WINNER OF ADAMAWA GOVERNORSHIP SUPPLEMENTARY ELECTION
The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared Ahmadu Fintiri of the People’s Democratic Party as winner of the Adamawa State Governorship supplementary election which was held on 15th April 2023.
He polled a total number of 430,861 defeating Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani of the All Progressive Congress who scored 398,788
The Independent National Electoral Commission made the announcement at the commission’s state collation centre.
The announcement of Fintiri marks the end to the uncertainty that surrounds the Governorship election in the State since March 18th, 2023 when the election was declared inconclusive.
INEC reopened the collation centre on Tuesday, after the exercise was stopped on Sunday, when the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Hudu Ari declared the APC’s Aishat Dahiru winner of the election.
