Weeks after making the headlines in the NPFL transfer market, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) mercurial midfielder, Malomo Taofeek Ayodeji, has revealed the reason he decided to stick with the Oluyole Warriors.
The former Joy Cometh of Lagos skillful winger, was a target for notable clubs like Enyimba, Akwa United and Bendel Insurance, with rumours having it that he was almost close to exiting the Ibadan soccer lords.
However, the management of 3SC had vowed to do everything possible to keep their priced jewel player, a promise that was kept with the announcement that the sleeky midfielder will stay.
Malomo revealed to Shooting Stars Media that his love for the club and the numerous fans and supporters made him shun other clubs.
“I had tempting offers like you know, but I couldn’t just pick any ahead of Shooting Stars because of my love for the club and considering the way I’m loved and adored here, it is something I so much cherish” declared Malomo, nicknnamed ‘elastic’ by his teammates.
On the upcoming 2023/24 season, the soft spoken midfielder expressed confidence that the Oluyole Warriors would achieve something big.
“With what I am seeing so far, coupled with the efforts of our coaches, I believe so much that we will pick a continental ticket this season, which is one of the thing I want to help the club to achieve, hence my decision to stay”, said the U-23 National Team player.
