MILITARY RESCUES FOUR ABDUCTED NASARAWA UNDERGRADUATES

The military said on Thursday that they rescued four undergraduate of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, who were abducted on Tuesday from their hostel.

According to report, the undergraduates were abducted in the early hours of Tuesday by armed men who invaded their house located at Angwan Kaare in the Keffi Local Government Area of the state and carried them away to an unknown destination.

After a persistent pressure on the kidnappers, they were rescued on Thursday by personnel from the Nigerian Army’s 117 Battalion, Keffi.

He stated that the students were rescued in the surrounding bushes of Angwan Gauta in Keffi LGA after the military officers worked tirelessly.

He mentioned the names of the rescued students including Rahila Hanya, Josephine Gershon, Rosemary Samuel and Goodness Samuel.

He said the students would be reunited with their families after proper medical examinations.
