2026 WCQ: SUPER EAGLES ARRIVE NIGERIA AFTER ZIMBABWE DRAW
The Super Eagles have returned to Nigeria on Monday morning after a disappointing 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe in Rwandaa on Sunday.
Jose Peseiro’s side rallied to earn a share of the spoils in the 2026 World Cup qualifier after starting on the back foot with Walter Musona giving Zimbabwe the lead with a long range free-kick in the 26th minute.
Substitute Kelechi Iheanacho levelled scores for the Super Eagles 25 minutes from time.
The team’s arrival was announced on their official X handle.
“Arrival from Rwanda #soarsupereagles #letsdoitagain,” the post reads.
The Super Eagles are winless after two games in the qualifiers.
Jose Peseiro’s side will host Lesotho in their next game in the qualifiers in June 2024.
