OUR RESPONSE WILL BE MUCH LARGER – IRAN WARNS ISRAEL AGAINST FIGHTING BACK
Iran has warned that it would respond in a much larger and severe way if Israel retaliates its Saturday’s drone and missile attack.
Iran’s armed forces chief, Maj Gen Mohammad Bagheri gave the warning as a follow-up to Iran’s attack against Israel.
It added that Washington has been warned not to back Israeli military action.
“Our response will be much larger than tonight’s military action if Israel retaliates against Iran, ”Maj Gen Bagheri told Iranian state TV.
He said that Tehran warned Washington that any backing of Israeli retaliation would result in US bases being targeted.
Also, Hossein Salami, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, warned Iran would retaliate against any Israeli attack on its interests, officials or citizens.
As of Sunday morning, Israeli officials indicated no decision had been made about an Israeli response to the Iranian attack, as an official said any potential response would be discussed at the war cabinet meeting.
