The Kaduna State Police Command has blocked the road to the Government House in the state capital following violent incidents during the #EndBadGovernance protests on Thursday.

These events included an attempted attack on the Government House by hoodlums.

On Friday, a combined team of security personnel, including police, civil defense, and state vigilance service members, were seen enforcing strict surveillance along the road leading to the seat of power.

This blockade aims to prevent hoodlums from accessing the area and nearby communities.

The police have urged parents and guardians to prevent their children from participating in activities that disturb public peace during the protests, emphasizing the need for serious attention to such behaviors.

In a statement released by the state police spokesman, Mansir Hassan, the Command advised groups intending to protest, to liaise with the Commissioner of Police to order to fashion out modalities for a peaceful protest.

“The somewhat peaceful protest has been hijacked by hoodlums who took undue advantage of the so-called faceless sponsors and unleashed their planned mayhem on the state,”  he said.
