CELEBRATION TURNS TO CHAOS: 5 ARRESTED FOR ENVIRONMENTAL NUISANCE

On Saturday, October 19, 2024, the Lagos State Government cracked down on an unauthorized birthday celebration, arresting several individuals for causing traffic disruptions and creating an environmental nuisance. Among those arrested were Omolara Ajetumobi, the event planner; Ogundare Olubunmi, the celebrant; Ayodele Busuyi, the musician; Owoeye Adedayo, the sound engineer; and Akinola Akinkunmi, a vendor.
The arrests took place on Raymond Njoku Road in Southwest Ikoyi, where the birthday event led to a major traffic blockage. The Lagos State Government has emphasized that the suspects will face charges in court in accordance with state laws.
Officials have once again warned that no one is above the law, and all citizens must adhere to regulations designed to maintain order and prevent disruptions to public life.
