BOBRISKY DEPARTS NIGERIA AMID LEGAL ISSUES
Bobrisky, also known as Idris Okuneye, is a controversial crossdresser who reportedly flew out of Nigeria a few days after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission discharged him.
Bobrisky revealed that he was traveling on a first-class ticket in a series of videos posted on his Instagram account on Monday morning, but he did not specify where he was going.
He humorously remarked on the disfigurement of his passport photo, saying, “That passport disfigured my picture.”
“See you soon, Nigeria. This girl bought a first-class ticket three times; that’s over 30 million. Raise the bar for this girl,” he boasted.
Bobrisky’s departure comes on the heels of a series of events that unfolded last week.
At Murtala Muhammed International Airport, the troubled transvestite was stopped and taken off a KLM flight headed for Amsterdam on Thursday evening as she tried to board a route to London.
He claimed to have been hurt during the encounter and then warned his social media followers.
After the fight, he was brought to the EFCC’s Abuja headquarters, where he was allegedly questioned about allegations that he had paid N15 million to authorities to get money laundering charges against him dropped.
After he allegedly denied bribing the EFCC in his confessional testimony at the commission’s headquarters, he was later freed on bail on Saturday.
In April 2024, Bobrisky was given a six-month prison sentence for abusing drugs, which marked the beginning of his legal issues.
Despite being imprisoned at Kirikiri Prison at first, it was reported that he was moved covertly to an unidentified private location after only three weeks of detention.
When social media influencer Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, published an audio tape purportedly showing Bobrisky talking about bribing EFCC officials to dismiss money laundering charges against him in September, the matter became even more heated.
He humorously remarked on the disfigurement of his passport photo, saying, “That passport disfigured my picture.”
