I FOUND TRUE FULFILMENT MARRYING MY HUSBAND AT 21 — SHADE OKOYA
Shade, the wife of millionaire businessman Razak Okoya, has stated that even though she married her husband at age 21, she did not miss anything in life.
In an interview with BBC Yoruba on Sunday, Okoya made this claim regarding her marriage.
The socialite said she has no regrets about being married to an older man.
She claims that she has not been deprived of any element of life because she chose to wed an elderly husband.
She said, “My husband has been very generous to me and defends me everywhere. God said this is where I will be. We met each other, and he liked me.
“I’m happy in my marriage to him. He is far older than me, but I don’t think I ever missed out on anything because I didn’t marry a younger man. I remember when he expressed his interest in me – it was straightforward, and he got down to business by meeting my parents and doing the needful in no time.”
Shade, now 48 years old, married billionaire businessman Razak Okoya in 1999, at the age of 21.
At the time of their marriage, her husband—who is now 85 years old—was already well-known in Nigerian industry.
She declared with assurance that she has never felt inferior or deprived because she chose not to wed a younger man.
Okoya gave additional details about her married experience, stating that she is quite happy and satisfied and that her marriage has been fruitful and satisfying.
