LAGOS LG POLL: LASIEC BEGINS DISTRIBUTION OF ELECTION MATERIAL (PHOTOS)

The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) on Saturday began distributing sensitive and non-sensitive election materials at Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area.
Ad-hoc personnel deployed by LASIEC were seen coordinating the materials for dispatch to the 14 Local Council Development Areas under the jurisdiction of Amuwo-Odofin and Oriade local governments.
The distribution centre in Amuwo-Odofin functioned as the main logistics hub, facilitating the secure and efficient deployment of essential items such as ballot papers and result sheets to designated polling units.
The exercise, which began early on Saturday morning, is being closely monitored to ensure a smooth and transparent process.
Security personnel were also on ground to provide adequate protection for the materials and the ad-hoc staff.
Speaking on the development, a senior ad-hoc staff member overseeing the distribution, Mrs. Adeola Williams, expressed confidence in the arrangements.
“We are fully prepared and committed to ensuring that every polling unit receives its materials on time.
“Our goal is to facilitate a seamless electoral process, and the timely distribution of these materials is fundamental to achieving that objective. We have trained our staff thoroughly, and they are ready to ensure that the will of the people is accurately reflected through this democratic exercise,” she stated.
