The Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, cast her vote on Saturday morning at Ifelodun Street, Ward G, Ajegunle, in the ongoing Lagos Local Government elections.

The polling unit was calm and orderly, with election materials and Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) officials arriving on time.

Speaking after casting her ballot, Princess Bada commended the peaceful conduct of the poll and expressed confidence in securing victory for a second term.

She also expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for empowering women and giving them a stronger voice in leadership, and to First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, for her recent visit to Ikosi and commissioning of Nigeria’s largest Primary Healthcare Centre on July 9.

Princess Bada further thanked Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for ensuring a free and fair election across the state.

The election, being held across Lagos’ 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas, is aimed at selecting new council chairpersons and councillors at the grassroots level.
